JOE SENT ME!

Joe is one of our CARE Heroes. Joe, an 8th grader in Fort Worth, has been raising money for animal conservation for the past 5 years.

Joe started by making PowerPoint presentations and taking them to different businesses to help raise money for CARE and the Fort Worth Nature Center & Refuge. He also set up donation cans and a booth at his father’s store to collect money year-round and during special events like the Super Bowl. This past year he wrapped presents during the holiday season for a donation to his causes.

Joe has earned over $5,000 in the last couple of years for CARE and the FWNC&R. Recently he started a blog hoping that it will get others interested in donating to his causes or even to start their own fund-raising program where they live. That’s his goal — to get other kids interested in nature and involved with conservation.

You can visit Joe’s blog at www.joebites.net.

Joe has also started creating his own T-Shirts to help raise money for CARE as well! You can buy his shirts on his site at www.joebites.net/joe-sent-me.

We think what Joe is doing is AMAZING! Great work Joe, and thank you from the bottom of our hearts for helping out the cats at CARE!
